Mr. Garretson's practice is limited almost exclusively to criminal defense throughout the State of Kansas. Having first practiced as an Assistant District Attorney in Johnson County, Mr. Garretson maintains a daily presence in the Johnson County Courthouse. He and his Firm regularly appear throughout Johnson County (Overland Park, Leawood, Shawnee, Olathe, Mission, Lenexa and other municipal jurisdictions) in addition to district courts in Wyandotte, Douglas, Miami, Franklin, Linn & Riley counties.

Kansas Supreme Court Appointment

Attorney Garretson has been appointed by the Kansas Supreme Court to serve on the Attorney Admissions Review Committee, a three-member panel that evaluates attorneys flagged for character and fitness concerns before they may be licensed to practice law in Kansas. That the state's highest court has entrusted him with this role reflects the confidence the legal community places in his judgment, ethics, and standing within the profession.
